This antique American Arts and Crafts or Mission style piece is from the late 19th Century. The design features an oak frame with vertical slats in the arms and back, which is characteristic of the Arts and Crafts movement popularized by figures like Gustav Stickley. The chair is both a recliner with a hinged back and adjustable positions, as well as a rocker. The thick, striped cushion provide comfort for the wide seat and back. Great heirloom piece!
